Many of you know that my dad is the inspiration of my latest project, a book about his 40-year career as an urban minister who has a passion for helping the poor. He’s been a marathoner for almost 30 years and his latest fitness adventure is a cross-country cycling trip, “the cycle to end the cycle of poverty.” He has raised more than $13,000 in donations from churches and individuals to help fund projects that benefit the poor worldwide and is currently on his way to Grand Rapids, MI. He ends the ride on August 30 in Liberty State Park, where he’ll dip his tires in the Atlantic and hobble home to Bayonne, NJ. Check out seatosea.org for more information about the ride and to read the blogs from fellow riders.
